The comedy (Bhushundir Mathe) starts with a day in Shibu Bhattachaj's life. The quintessential pious Brahmin priest, Shibu is scared of his nemesis, his wife Netyokali. The altercation between the couple reaches a climax so much so that he prays to God to get rid of her. But destiny turns the table on him and he ends up in Bhushundir Math (the field of Bhushundi) as a ghost. The story follows Shibu's sojourn in this new surrounding as he meets odd characters and the fun gradually reaches its climax.

The play was designed and performed by students of SUNY-Buffalo at the Durga Puja (2010) Cultural Program organized by the Bengali Cultural Association of Buffalo. The script and the music, which are majorly based on an audio-drama by Kharaj Mukhopadhaya (and team), was updated with snippets from the original story by Rajshekhar Bose.
